Students will be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in gardening and harvesting! As the school year progresses, they will be able to take the fruits of their labor home to share with loved ones! Hands-on experience in agricultural sciences enhances children’s ability to problem solve and increases self-sustainability!

"No line of manual training is of more value than agriculture. A greater effort should be made to create and to encourage an interest in agricultural pursuits. Let the teacher call attention to what the Bible says about agriculture: that it was God's plan for man to till the earth; that the first man, the ruler of the whole world, was given a garden to cultivate; and that many of the world's greatest men, its real nobility, have been tillers of the soil." ED 219.1

We firmly believe in the 8 Laws of Health! Teaching our students human physiology and age appropriate, plant based culinary skills equips them to be self sufficient adults who adhere to the proper diet guidelines that the Bible gives to us. Studies show that a healthy diet in children is positively correlated to their ability to cook. We aim to help secure our students’ physical health which will in turn elevate their physical health and strengthen their mental capabilities. Students will be closely monitored as they cultivate creativity in the kitchen!'

“Do not neglect to teach your children how to prepare healthful food. In giving them theses lessons in physiology and in good cooking, you are giving them the first steps in some of the most useful branches of education, and inculcating principles which are needful elements in a religious education” CE 174.1

There is no greater teaching tool than the word of God. Our number one goal is to teach young students biblical literacy and understanding . We hold the word of God to be authoritative truth and will train our students to be.

 

Throughout the study of language, mathematics, sciences and history, our students will learn to see the world through the eyes of our Creator.

In the near future, we hope to have Heavenly Minded Academy placed on a fully operating homestead! Students will learn how to raise and care for animals as they witness the production of resources before their very eyes!! They will also be guided through taking care of the land the Lord has given us by managing the student garden. Here is where God’s little children will learn the importance of stewardship!
